About the Event
The social brain is growing like never before in your Tween's life. This is the time when they experience what it truly feels like to be seen by other people and start feeling insecure because of it: "How are my peers looking at me? Am I being judged? Am I cool? Am I good looking? Will they like me?"
Prior to this time, focus was on family and the core group of people that generally love them unconditionally. They aren’t even aware that this is not the way that everyone interacts. Throw in body changes, hormones changes, school changes, educational structure and expectation changes and we are ripe for upset.
This workshop will inform your tween of these natural/normal changes that they are experience (normalize it) and provide them the space to explore their feelings and thoughts on all the things that they are experiencing. I will challenge your tween to define what is important to THEM, how to foster positive social bonds, and introduce the concept of healthy boundaries with their peers as well as with you - their parent! What better way to support your tween on their journey to yound adulthood then to give them the tools they need to navigate the rough waters ahead.
